what i don't understand is why so many romanians are here before the borders are open, we all know about the problems in central london and olympics venues.
i cannot believe that many do not have criminal records so should have been weeded out before entering the country.

Keith, the Coalition's policy is expansion of the European Union, plus open borders to all EU member-state citizens.
The Conservatives party wants to drag out an EU in/out referendum as far as possible, over the years, and force us all to sit about twiddling our thumbs as the Government preaches Austerity, mass unemployment and personal financial ruin.
Currently they are taunting us how they are going to let in millions more, knowing we can't do anything about it.
Boycott all elections, don't vote, stay at home on election day, or go out, but avoid polling stations.
Don't place any trust in them!

Rubbish Alexander - all of it.
This Romanian and Bulgarian problem is a real worry though and we should all be lobbying the Government not to allow them in.
It will start off in the big cities because of the takings, but will soon filter out to towns around the coast and as Dover is a majopr port of entry,we'll be one of the first..
We already have a problem on the Priory part of the ward, I don't want it to get worse.

the cobbled together lot and the opposition will wring their hands and do nothing, neither side has the appetite to stand up to the bureaucrats in brussels.

Brussels makes a debatable open borders law that we have to adhere to regardless of whether we want or need more foreigners here.
The whole situation is absolutely daft as surely every country in the EU is gradually loosing their independence.

The Louvre was closed the other day because of gangs of pick pockets who were fleecing the customers. A high percentage were children who get free entry.

You will all get the opportunity to question charley boy and the labour party's parachuted girl on this issue, as they scuttle around Dover begging for your votes.

From the link in post 1:
"The police believe that nine in 10 cashpoint robberies (in Britain) - a crime that has ballooned in number in recent years - are carried out by Romanian gang members."
"Whatever the figure (of Romanian and Bulgarian immigrants) it will be an entirely self-inflicted wound because our Government will simply have stepped back and let it happen."
Surely this is illegal and treason!

Roger, this is not rubbish.
Most people in Britain have had enough.

the romanian government must be lapping all this up, getting rid of all the people they don't want.
no doubt the remaining romanians will be delighted too.

Yes, Howard, the Romanian authorities are making jokes about it on the radio, saying it is not true 100% of Romanians will move to Britain within 3 months.
Indeed, if 1% move here in the first 3 months, that's 200,000 people.
They will come mostly to South East England, a known fact.
Romanian authorities are deliberately poking publicly, so as to make their people aware that they can in fact move to the UK and get benefits galore. They know that if 5 % move here, that's their unemployment problem solved. One million people!
There are e-petitions on the Web to sign and send to Parliament.
