Looking good. Hopefully we will get to stay there at some point during the summer and have a long overdue trip to Dover and catch up with our lovely friends
My husband and I got the chance to have a look inside this afternoon as they were doing tours for The Travel and Leisure Show. (We were actually walking along the seafront but got talking to the future pianist outside who let us in!!!)
There is still quite a lot of work to be finished but it is going to look great (amazing wallpaper!).
We were shown three sea-front bedrooms, all looking very modern and smart.
They will be opening as a 3* hotel, hoping to get 4* status after a few months. They will be a private opening 24th March, open to the General Public on the 25th.
We met two of the management team who both emphasised their commitment to making it a Community hotel, looking to attract local trade.
They will have a pianist two or three evenings a week, gourmet evenings and a special seafood evening each week.
Had a tour around the Dover Marina Hotel yesterday with GM David Otteson and I must say it is looking absolutely exquisite, fantastic curtains and wall coverings, fabulously designed pewter wall lights, gorgeous furnishings etc, etc, etc, so a real gem to Dovers Seafront. Still a bit to do but I'm sure the professionals will have it ready for this coming weeks opening. Us ladies will have to wait for our Spa which will be coming later on this year but I'm sure the wait will be worth it
