We will see it will be your views in the press not mine,But in the end my way will be the one that will happen in the end, and that is all that matters the best for the town as history has in the pass.

Neil, a very professional interview.
Vic, you have neither won or lost.
The implication of todays decision is that we are in a state of limbo.
Now we know what the government don't want. It's time for everybody to talk about what's achievable recognising that Dover is not the only Trust Port involved.
Whatever Dover does/achieves becomes the benchmark for ALL Trust Ports.

agree about dover being the benchmark port paul but disagree strongly over the issue of it remaining a trust port.
both the current administrations have made it clear that they way forward for trust ports is privatisation with the proviso that the local community can see some benefit.

I won't disagree with you Howard because I have not read all the small print.
The privatisation option remains in the Act. What we have today is a rejection of the DHB option put forward.
Now it is for the community with the Minister & DHB to arrive at a solution within the present legislation or amend it.
What should not happen is the current situation that sterilises Dover's development.
DHB are sitting on non Port related operational assets that help move Dover forward. Their release & future proofing Port development is vital. The right scheme without prejudices can bring community & economic benefit to Dover.
Small minded approaches will leave us isolated.
Dover port is an International asset. We just need to use it better so everybody benefits.

Do you know what I love about Dr B,is that in his interview he is still talking at Dover and not to Dover.

Howard, I see your point, although I believe we are being offered an alternative solution.
Craft an answer that secures Dover's future.
A challenge to be taken up.
Without pre conceived solutions.
