Theres an interesting article in the Dover Express today p6, Mr McCluskey has a copy of a letter he wrote 25 years ago.
To say DDC is not fit for purpose is debatable, but I'm really not sure what purpose it serves. Oh hang on, its Chairman spent £900.00 on sandwiches for old folk, perhaps thats its raison d'etre.

such a bland statement on the face of it, haven't seen the paper yet, does he back it up with precise reasons for why the situation is so?

And they're back!
How long to get rid of them this time?
This is the 'conversation' I've just had with one of them:
Young Irish lad walks into office:
"Do you have the internet here?"
Me:
"Yes"
Irish lad:
"Can I use it then?"
Me:
"No"
Irish lad:
"You're no use to me then .... dickhead", then walks out.

They're doing a bloody fine job of turning the St. James Street Car Park into a rubbish tip, vans and cars spread out across the width of it (effectively 'cordoning off' an area). The kids have been running amok round the car park and the vans have no registration plates on.
The whole lot should be towed way and incinerated - what a great advert for Dover.
DDC conspicuous by their absence yet again - all the reactionary capacity of a stone

Well, whether by design or desire they've gone, leaving in their wake the usual detritus and debris. Good riddance (until the next time...).

good timing paul, these pictures don't do justice to the rubbish left behind, most has been blown all over the area by the strong winds.
