Mr Farage might just get in there and Folkestone if the right person is standing there .
That will not happen in Dover best they can hope for is 3rd place that is one better then I done last time but still a wast of funds standing .keep local only.

There is a big difference between local elections and the General Election. I still think of UKIP as the protest party much like the old Liberals and then the Libdems.
If/when Farage is officially adopted as the UKIP candidate for Thanet South unless he comes up with some other decent election proposals apart from his anti Europe stance I doubt he will get in.

Backtracked? Utter nonsense.
The hustings for Thanet South take place on Aug 26th when the branch members will elect their candidate from those who apply to stand. This has been the case for weeks,

Howard, I appreciate you like a bit of mischief making but frankly, that's pathetic. The telegraph blog is full of assumptions and pro Boris spin. The Thanet South hustings have been booked for ages, I can assure you that.

That only says that he wants to stand, still a selection process to go through although i cannot imagine him not winning.

The Nigel factor gives a boost to his party's poll rating, not sure how he can do two jobs at the same time though.

He would not be the only one doing it, if he gets in his wages will be a lot as well.

Stupid woman, she does not seem to understand how to behave in public something she should have learnt after her Ashford mistake.

She was talking about contesting a seat in the next General election but i doubt that she would be selected as a candidate in a winnable one.

Apparently Nigel Farage has been to see the insulted lady, apologised and promised that further action will be taken.
BBC news South East at 6. 30 has the full story.

Rather appropriate as Nigel Farage is being selected in Thanet South at this very moment.

but on reflection I rather fancy the female contender.
