Yes they done well with more to come taking votes from all the other partys not just the blues.
Maybe now the reds and blues will sit up and take note what the voters are telling them if they do not act then it will be their own downfall.UKIP could on the face of this take second place in the next year and take all seats Kent yes even Dover. they are saying what the rest of the public are thinking.
This does not mean that I will be taking part by voting for them or any other party.
But the writing is on the wall,in Dover the reds have the wrong person putting up for MP,and our blue MP is a wet with only holding the seat with 4000.

Even more significant was the UKIP vote in Heywood and Middleton, time for Ed to step down I think.

How about this result, if this is an accurate example of how people will vote in 2015 David Little will be our MP.

Turnouts were low 51% in Clacton and 36% in Heywood and Middleton, should be a lot higher at the general election.

'Funny old world' as the Lady said.
UKIP take the Parliamentary seat from Conservatives in Clacton but Conservatives take County Council seat from UKIP in the same constituency on the same day.

Maybe the electorate found he wasn't a very good councillor.

The Clacton electorate are fortunate to know what their county councillors do in order to form an opinion, more than can be said for Dover. I bet most people don't even know who they are.

In local elections far to many people vote for the party rather than the person.
