Unfortunately bad councillors can get elected simply because of the party they represent and the area they stand in.

And because decent people are reluctant to get involved - go for it Jan, you know you can!

I would be awful as a councillor I would loose my temper much to often.
There are enough oldies already (regardless of their age) and it is more fun sitting outside firing bullets.

twitter post sent at the time Farage was doing interviews accusing the Rotherham police of not doing enough to allow him to have his little parade, while also claiming he wasn't using the situation in Rotherham for political gains, no morals from a party falling by the wayside on the run in to May.

Must say UKIP are making all the wrong moves at this time, and the big one is turning their backs on their own real supporters ones that have got the party where they are at the polls,or were, and going along with members of the public who have just joined in the last two years with alot of them doing that for their own gains.
But in making that move it is now holding the party up or even take them back.
And Mr Farge must hold his hands up to this .

The phrase 'hell hath no fury like a woman scorned' always springs to mind whenever Vic posts about UKIP ever since they fell out with each other.

Seems a lot of falling out locally with chairmen changing regularly and some running to the papers about it.

That will not happen with myself over the paper. As I am not voting for any party.
I did not agree with what happen, to say we fell out with each other is some what over the top.
We have just gone our own ways.

Had an election leaflet from UKIP this morning then another put through the door mid afternoon.
Certainly keen to put their message across.

Just tried to read it but haven't a clue what it says. UKIP have paid for the services of a business to deliver the leaflets so should be looking for a rebate on charges.

I can not read it either but as I guess it only gives the name of the publisher or printer I would not bother even trying to read it.
I have also had two, delivered about a week apart, never mind they add nicely to the recycling pile like any others from the varying parties whenever they turn up.

It says with the use of magnifying glass " Promoted by Veronica Shirley on behalf of David Little both of 18 Castle st Dover CT16 1PW. Printed by Essex Distribution 7c Luckyn lane essex etc."
I thought that political candidate/party campaign literature had to clearly show the imprint, it makes people think they are trying to hide something?

Veronica Shirley is the wife of the local UKIP campaign manager. Essex distribution only cover Essex and Greater London according to their website.

But easy to put the boxes of leaflets in a car for transportation to this area especially if you live here but work in Essex.

I also like reading between the lines that way one can guess who is pro or anti a party, I think they are all more or less as bad as each other.

I just wonder why something that is a legal requirement would be virtually hidden, would be good to see something from other candidates as well though.

Has anyone actually cast their vote on the strength of what they have read on a campaign leaflet?
