Must say UKIP is not the same party as 3years ago.
Alot of the new members are not true party members and now it is showing.

Ukip scrap immigration cap, Nigel says it's not a u turn it's a change of emphasis!!! I would say you can't make it up but clearly Nigel does, it was only last week that their Immigration spokesman reiterated the 50 000 cap.

Seems that panic is setting in as their opinion poll support falls albeit slightly, Farage says one thing others say differently.
A poll shows that 36% trust them the most on immigration but 44% think them racist and 37% see them as nasty.

I don't see what Farage has to complain about here it's not as if people voting for the pub landlord are the type to vote UKIP.

Mr Farage has taken on to much for himself. Years ago when we was at a dinner in Ashford, I said to him ,"you must let others come to the front ,the public see UKIP as just one person that person being yourself.Aske any member of the public name one of the leaders of UKIP other than Mr Farage? and 95%or more will say we do not know any.

That is their biggest problem the other names are only known when they say something daft and/or get kicked out of the party. Paul Nuttall may be their biggest name others only briefly hit the headlines. Tim Akers for example was made head of policy and didn't think any up so they demoted him.

Shot himself in the foot though by saying that employers should be allowed to discriminate, under those conditions we will have floods of job ads saying East Europeans only need apply.

Much like the LibDems, UKIP will not reject a chance of power sharing so will join forces with whichever party needs them be it Tory or Labour.

So many permutations going around, the most talked about is the SNP joining the reds to form a coalition, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the present coalition may re-form after the election. The yellows have been written off by many but individually their MP's work hard in their constituencies and many will survive their national party's unpopularity.

Caught the end of a radio programme earlier where it was claimed that UKIP would disbar children of immigrants from school until they had been in the country for 5 years. Can't find a link to it but if true it must be their most bonkers policy.

The article is in the New statesmen. The policy states that immigrants would have no access to state services for 5 years and education is given as an example what this would mean in reality five year old would lose first five years of schooling, an 11 yr old could not go to secondary school. Children could be heavily affected.

Good Evening. Pam, I suggest you read your Labour policy on Immigration. Its number 4 on your 5 Labour pledges card. Labour Party policy states no benefits in any form for migrants for the First Two Years of Arrival to the UK. I hope this information helps you on the #LabourDoorStep.

Education cannot be regarded as a 'benefit' as long as it remains compulsory. Ukip' policy is as follows:
- Migrants will only be eligible for benefits (in work or out of work) when they have been paying tax and NI for five years and will only be eligible for permanent residence after ten years.
Elsewhere they mention council housing too. Seems fair to me.
But I don't see how anyone could reasonably construe that as denying schooling to immigrant children.
Unless they were out to score cheap political points, that is.

I was only repeating what this had been interpretated as by that magazine; did not voice an opinion. But Not sure if education can be classed as benefit when parents can be taken to court if children do not attend school.

Never sure what to believe with UKIP. Nigel makes utterances that the general public accept as policy but then refuted by party HQ. We have had the hunting with dogs issue with Farage telling huntspersons that he will repeal the act despite it not being UKIP policy, now today he says that ritual slaughter will be allowed after saying the exact opposite before.
