 - The irony is that it is their obsession with culture wars that have seen their lead slip so dramatically. Rather than addressing the cost of living, they've spend much of the last year obsessing over nonsense that the public aren't interested in. Fallen into their own trap, if you will.

 - Neil
I do think your starting to believe yourself lol

I think the challenge is who's going to be any better .

I listened to R. Reeves and she could hardly string a sentence together, worrying thing was her comment that she had reached high levels in the banking industry but then went on to say how much better tory she could be .

I'm surprised we are not seeing Elphicke with placards outside Buckland hospital by now.

Sunak sunk himself (excuse the pun) on his small boats policy which I'm still baffled as to why he made it one of his pledges when the policies are unachievable .

Now the scientists are coming out in the covid enquiry stating t h e Tories put the economy before life

Still more to come on that , where as Boris was everyone's darling , since breaking his own covid rules
He has been found to have fallen short many times , and he's less of a darling now .

The triple lock pension rise, could bring a few back on board .

I'm still amazed at the ministers going on TV defending a poor record ,
Hunt looks to have already overspent, and leading up to an election , with borrowing spiralling out of control , things don't look good for the Tories .

That said, what else is there ?
As Labour already saying for two years they will continue the Tory budget !

Oh dear Neil , I think your leader is going to be our downfall

What a state the country is in with little choices

I did not see our MP.
She will be out next time round.
How ever many time they have reshuffles everything is a mess.Locally fast track buses waste of money .

 - Ok Sue,
I'm not sure the benefits one is a vote winner, that said those on benefits (quite a number ) probably don't vote .

It shows how far Labour has gone when Conservative Did is supporting labour! Lol

To be fair the house of commons is a poor reflection on politics which sadly most people only see this and have a poor image of all politicians.?

Again the jeering in the house of commons happens with all parties , I wouldnt just blame the Tories.

 - I think they've got the numbers to force the vote, but I don't think there is any suggestion he would lose that vote. - victor matcham likes this

 - No, I think he would survive such a vote purely on t he Tories not wanting Labour in.

But it would seriously damage him

 - I think this qualifies as Tory party in turmoil: -
'The unrest has reached such a level that some Tory MPs are considering trying to bring back Boris Johnson as prime minister, according to the Mail on Sunday. Sources have told the paper that they want to create what it describes as a "dream ticket" - a leadership tie-up with Nigel Farage'.

 - There are so many splits in the Tory party it is in self destruct mode at th e mo.

 It's like Neil's party of old .

Only reason it's not happening in Neil's party is Starmer has expelled most of those that disagree with him .

With Tory ministers and ex ministers , an d back benchers not holding back , it looks like they will continue to rip each other apart .

 - Sunak faced them down for the Windsor Framework, I am sure he can do likewise for the Rwanda Bill. And even if they force a vote, he'd win that vote. - victor matcham likes this

 - And, highly unusually, one Mrs Elphicke voting 'Aye' today in Division 55, namely Safety of Rwanda (Asylum and Immigration) Bill Committee: Amendment 23. She and 64 others.

I don't actually know what the proposed amendment was, but it could have been designed to "strengthen" the Bill by declaring in law that St Margarets Bay is an unsafe place and thereby creating a disincentive to illegally land small boats there.
