Yup...I agree they are all birds of a feather...............but if it breaks up the Big Six and obtains cheaper gas
and electricity for the needy and us..............
We and the Governments cannot control these elite greedy pigs............
Here`s another bunch of them.......
BHP spree sets mining deal frenzy.
BHP Billington are preparing to add further fuel to the deal frenzy in commodities sector in the wake of
Glencore`s planned £ 57 billion merger with Xstrata..
The merger would create the worlds fourth biggest mining firm behind BHP!!!
With Glenmore unable to vote it`s 34 % stake in Xstrata it would take only 16.4 % of the miners remaining
shareholders to vote down the deal.....
BHP have stated their intention to make further acquisitions.
Commodity traders produce more billionaires than any other business.
All we and Governments can do is sit back and watch...........

the hubris is astounding

While loving someone deeply gives you courage" - Laozi

Commodity traders probably also know that in South Africa, the safety standards are questionable, leading to many casualties. I bet the South African miners are poorly paid even by South African standards.
These billionaires cash in on world commodities that should not be in private hands. Mines should be state owned and governed with strict health and safety measures for the welfare of the miners. Who are these private billionaires who think they have the right to own essential sectors of the world's economy?
There are too many self proclaimed gods-almighty going about. Confiscate their surplus wealth!

Seems there are two kinds of meaning for "Hubris":
"Hubris consists in doing and saying things that cause shame to the victim...simply for the pleasure of it".
"Young men and the rich are hubristic because they think they are better than other people".

Indeed Roger - and our very own Staddler and Waldorf seem to fall into both definitions (though neither are rich, or are they, not young)

You do know who is now known as Staddler and Waldorf don't you Keith?
As for my comment, others understand even if you don't...
Oh gawd though - Alexander 'Stalin' is still advocating theft of private property, you better take him with you when you jump off....

Appears to have descended to personal comments, name calling and poking tongues by more than the usual
culprit...........must be contagion...............best to keep to the thread.

The thread - worth keeping to? No its just a continuous ill-informed dig and its not as if I am the only one pointing this out. Better to have a bit of fun at the expense of this thread.

Department of health apologised last night and revealed 25 senior staff have their salaries paid into limited
companies in order to reduce their tax bill to the treasury.
Whitehall says we cannot defend these arrangements but it may be common place in Whitehall and this is
just the tip of the ice-berg.
In a commons question asking if any staff were being paid in this manner...........a written reply from a
health minister it stated no staff were paid this way.
It appears among the 25 some are paid over £ 200,000 pa with one paid £ 233,375 pa
It was confirmed last night the Treasury are carrying out a review.
It is hoped they mean all government departments............watch this space..........
