Says it all here.
It seems that several people dismiss any idea of generating the wealth needed to help the poor and prefer just to cross your fingers.
That does not work - full stop.
Try it with your own personal spending and see what happens.

A hypothetical question

.......... An out of work person wins several millions on the lottery and sets up a business that employs a lot of people that were also out of work at the usual rate for the job they are doing.
Does the new owner who is now a rich employer become a member of the elite rich or simply a good person for creating many jobs for those who are still 'poor'?

Courtesy The Times.
Saudi Prince who killed his servant in London Hotel will be sent home in weeks.
Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Nasir al Saud, grandson of King Abdullah will benefit from an
agreement brought into force in August 2012 will fly back to Saudi Arabia to serve the rest of his
sentence
Cameron was in Saudi Arabia in November as part of efforts to sell 100 Typhoon jets....no deal has
been signed yet.
The Prince was caught on CCTV beating and kicking his servant 37 times in a lift at the Hotel.
The servant was strangled and beaten to death.
The Prince assumed, wrongly that he had diplomatic immunity and could not be tried in Britain.
The Prince denied he was gay but the court heard he had hird male escorts at £ 200 per hour.
Whitehall source said there was no link between the prison transfer and the trade deal.................

This wretch is not the King's grandson but his great-nephew. He is a great-grandson of King Abdulaziz, the founder of Saudi Arabia, known as Ibn Saud. If he gets shipped home he will 100% definitely be quietly executed. I'm surprised he doesn't have a crack at the Human Rights court. He must surely know that the executioner's sword awaits.

Actually further digging reveals that he is in fact also the king's grandson through the female line. His father married a first cousin who is Abdullah's daughter.
He has brought disgrace on the royal family, not by killing his manservant but by being openly homosexual. Homosexuality is so taboo in KSA that the newspapers have only started mentioning it in recent years.
This is the official position on homosexuality in the Kingdom:
"Homosexuality is one of the most disgusting sins and greatest crimes.... It is a vile perversion that goes against sound nature, and is one of the most corrupting and hideous sins.... The punishment for homosexuality is death. Both the active and passive participants are to be killed whether or not they have previously had sexual intercourse in the context of a legal marriage.... Some of the companions of the Prophet stated that [the perpetrator] is to be burned with fire. It has also been said that he should be stoned, or thrown from a high place."
Saudi Ministry of Education Textbooks for Islamic Studies: 2007-2008 Academic Year, a textbook used in the training of Saudi judges.
Often participants are let off 'lightly' with 5-year jail terms and 5000 lashes. But when coupled with the death of one of the participants the death penalty has been universally applied. The idea that the prince has already been punished in a foreign court would be lost on the Saudis as the gay issue is still outstanding.
