Back in post 4510 there was the LBC interview with Robert (or Roger) who said that UK importers will have 6 months in which to submit an import declaration. Has anyone come across that mentioned anywhere else? I haven't been trying very hard, but whilst I have read about inbound lorries rolling off ferries and shuttles just as they do today*, I haven't seen the 6 months' grace mentioned.
* that is such good news, but is presumably being drowned-out by all the present hiatus.

So, the "plan" is out, it would appear. Looks like it won't fly with Ireland and EU but let's wait and see. As long as Boris can blame someone else, I'm sure he'll be relaxed.
As for the Lib Dems, Kimmie, you are right, of course they'll not get in. But, that's the point, nor will anybody else - another hung Parliament is all but guaranteed all the while Lib Dem are taking votes from both the main parties.

I think we are all wasting our time trying to explain to kimmie what might or can or will happen regarding Brexit as she is so blinkered in her viewpoint.
BTW this Brexiteer wil not vote for the Brexit party.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Indeed, very Skinner. Sadly, it seems he didn't say it. It's a variant of an older joke. Skinner did say: 'the Liberal spokesman was not there [in committee] half the time.' On being asked to withdraw it, he replied 'Will he settle for my agreeing that he was there the other half?'

Kimmie, which Tarot are you using? I'm on the Marseille mainly, with occasional dips into the Crystal, but I'm still not getting the results. Should I try the Crowley?

Yeah, you could try smoking a milder brand of cow dung to turn on, tune in and drop out.

B, as far as I'm aware, Heraclitus never rolled his cow dung in a Rizla and smoked it, preferring to spread it over his poor dropsied body. One story has it that he was mistaken for a sausage and eaten by dogs. Jeremy Corbyn must know how that feels.

OK, let's get KM's funny out of the way first: "No-deal Brexit could cost Port of Dover £1 billion a week". Nope, that's not what Mr Bannister said and if you pause for just a mo', you'll realise that the Port does not make c£52bn a year.
Curiously, DHB's own press release makes no mention of the port taking "a substantial financial hit if no agreement had been reached by the October 31 deadline".
What is true, is that a significant downturn in traffic caused by defections to other routes or by a reduction in trade with the EU will put a squeeze on DWDR financing and the Community Fund.

A small price to pay. Personally I couldn't care less if the Port of Dover survives Brexit as long as we are out on the 31st.
