Worth a look from the eyes of a Thanet constituent.

Thank you Howard, copying these links are not my forte. Sunday Times have also done a job on Thanet South & Margate today.

The Times bit is behind a paywall but they certainly done a number on Margate and UKIP Paul.
This photo is priceless as the UKIP bloke is refusing to give his name to the reporter despite wearing a name tag!

"What's your name boy ?"
"Don't tell him Pike", springs to mind there.

Here is the bit that can be seen.
the Isle of Thanet is a small nodule of erupted spleen at the eastern edge of England — a little bit of throbbing gristle that, given enough anger, enough bile, enough precision dyspepsia, could suddenly, magnificently, detach itself entirely this election.
For this is where the Grand Hernia himself, Nigel Farage, is standing — making it by definition the most politically vulnerable place in Britain. As I leave Margate station, I wonder: what on earth has South Thanet done to deserve Farage's tainted love? But immediately, it becomes obvious. Margate is broken.

Completely ignoring the political content in that article, the writer (a self proclaimed restaurant critic) seems rather anti Thanet, is it all because nobody wanted to buy her crab sandwiches or lobster rolls, I doubt there are many in Thanet who could afford either of them.

Strange thing about that photo,is that he is wearing his KCC ID tag which seems a bit strange when on home territory.

According to many UKIP supporters on social media it is the Tories behind the slagging off of Thanet.

I have nothing against Labour ladies. Just a case of Well They Would Say That, Wouldn't They?

Just received the following message from David Little.
You might like to point out to the mob on DF that Martin Heale, Thanet South Chairman, was indeed a member of NF in the 70s. He then joined the conservative party where he was chairman of the Ramsgate branch!

Irony at its best UKIP describing forum members as a mob!!

Wrong word used there by David, a mob refers to a crowd there are not enough members on here to form a crowd only this rather sad group of individuals.

Didn't realise he was banned, Reg. No wonder it's so quiet on DF. Jan,

I think Reg is referring to UKIP HQ telling members to not post on social media.
