Worrying signs. All the more reason why this nuanced nonsense that is about to come out this evening is dangerous.

Disagree. There is a finite time different societies will accept 'lock down'.
IF we'd locked down two weeks earlier (Idiots citing Cheltenham/Liverpool football) then parks would have been full a fortnight back and we'd be heading for second epidemic.
Time will tell which country played this best.

There has been a lot of debate about the new slogan - but in a relative vacuum regarding what happens next. If there is nowhere to go or nothing to do, beyond garden centers, then I guess people will stay at home by default anyway.

Rather clever the order Boris mentioned ‘the four nations of the U.K.in, ‘ when he outlined his plans.
Scotland,
England,
Wales,
Northern Ireland......

Basically about time people got back to work.
1/5 of population sitting on their backsides on 80% pay has stopped 'our' NHS getting overwhelmed.
Good result but about time people got their arses into gear.

This appears to provide some leeway, for companies that are able to observe the rules for maximising protection for staff, to get them back working again which would then prevent claims of ‘the government forced us back.’
They always had to go back sometime, although when was always a difficult question to find an answer to.
The 2 week isolation for travellers coming in to the U.K., if /when it is actioned could provide the next headache for those coming back to the U.K. after holidays or coming in for holidays in the U.K.
Do nothing and nothing happens.

Sweden doing well?
Swedish Government apologises for not doing enough to protect older people: “We failed to protect our elderly. That’s really serious, and a failure for society as a whole.” 90% Sweden’s Covid-19 deaths were among the over-70s

Signs of memory loss, or just 'on message'? Tory tyranny
imposed the backside position on an upright nation, under diktat and police enforcement.
btw, I did a rain dance Saturday. It rained Sunday. Good result.

Wicked, wicked Tories. Bet an administration of any other political hue would never think of doing such a thing.

Following on from Buttons comment it was the Labour voices on the tv this morning who were unsure about the new policy of back to work.
It will be interesting to see if the virus numbers climb again as in some other countries now people are encouraged to go back to work.
