Re #46. I wondered if anyone might not have heard of Marya Salomee mentioned above, the young shy Polish girl who arrived in France, full of enthusiasm for science but found things difficult in a male dominated world. She met a fellow scientist in Paris, and changed her name to the French version of Marya, which was Marie. They fell in love and were married. His name was Pierre Curie, and of course, she became the famous Marie Curie.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

I didn`t want to frighten you too much. By the way, were they Salomee sandwiches?

Brian , your not that good at hiding then as we were chatting at a bus stop recently.

melissa,just a rare outing.

Howard.............................................................

You have to sleep sometime................
Go get him Bern, lol
I'll have the legs from under him..............!!!

FACT.
IQs for both men and women have a Gaussian distribution. Both have a mean (average) of 100.
The spread of male IQ is wider than that for women i.e. women tend to be a lot closer to the 'average' (this also works for most other measurable differences between the sexes e.g. height, hand-span etc. etc.)
Because women's IQs are closer to the mean this means that there are fewer really clever women than men.
On the plus side it means that there are also fewer really thick women!
