Wouldn't have thought of this but turning the heating up and consuming hot food and drink helps during the cold weather!!

I felt sorry for kids going to school this morning at about 8.15. It was absolutely slinging it down.

the annual panic setting in not helped by some people expecting their GP to sort out things like travel sickness, dandruff an d bad coughs according to a report I read the other day.

I read the same a couple of days ago and what struck me most was that the NHS had a television campaign earlier in the year about not ignoring a persistent cough and to go see your GP, it all gets so confusing it's easier just to go to A&E and get checked out

The NHS is much like food one day one day we should seek medical help or eat whichever food the next day we should not. To much misinformation is given out all the time.

This could save some money and help patients providing they do not drastically cut pharmacies.

Snow seems to be everywhere but around here at the moment. With all the rain today which is forecast to continue through the evening a drop in temperature would leave some very icy roads and not a good idea to drive unless someone really has to.

Minor grump from me .
Why do we always worry about the state of the roads for drivers but never mention icy pavements which cause most of the injuries to people? Icy pavements also mean many who have mobility problems or are not to good on their feet are stuck indoors.

Icy pavements might be dealt with if the snow warden appeal had much success!

Doesn't mention if you can report treacherous paths to them.

Just my luck that we have snow today.I have a 4x4 here that i cannot use due to a brake fault, parts arrived today and due to go into the garage tomorrow morning to be fixed,i,m now wondering if the garage will even be open if the snow gets much worse.I might just have to make do with wellies instead.

No snow now.
There's a tree down, up the hill from Crabble lights. Lots of police there letting cars through, but stopping lorries and coaches.
