11:4793294I was really disappointed to see this thread start as an aggressive party-political knockabout aimed at someone who, as far as I can see, has acted with dignity, made personal and political decisions after consideration, and acted perfectly properly at all times. There was also a side-swipe at the organisation from which he was moving on.
There is an implication that first of all there is no capacity for development of ideals or direction in an individual, and secondly that we all have a right to know at every turn what someones thoughts are if they are part of the local political arena. Neither is true although there is some accountability, it does not extend to the thought police.
I wish David well, hope he recovers well and speedily, and thank him for all that he does for Dover, from whichever angle he approaches!!

It is also revealing that those who regularly accuse others of deviousness are the most sensitive when accused of the same.
