As I said I like to give a stir now and then

.
Am I no longer allowed to post on both?

jan you are perfectly welcome to post on both, what i do not like is this sort of thing.
"I love this site since I joined I have not read a single post that has denigrated the opinion of a fellow member.
Sid I did start to post what I think of the other site but thought better of it, btw the engineer is a vital component or a ship will not go. "
yes i do take it personally before you ask.

23, I think you are getting slightly paranoid Howard. I don't see anything remotely objectionable in Jan's post.

just seen that brian i notice that our old friend charlie decided to have another snipe at me.
he likes me really, otherwise he would not copy and paste so many of my thread starters.
he is decent enough not to embarrass me by crediting where he lifted it from.

Thank you Peter.
Howard, I have said how much I enjoy this site except for the politics and as for my quotes in #23 you have no idea what I had thought of posting, you obviously assumed it would be derogatory which would be wrong. I had not read a derogatory comment..... until I read the comments about this thread but maybe your idea of that word differs to mine.
But as Keith is so often saying we are entitled to an opinion and yes I do feel there is an inner circle, club, clique here and some of us are on the outside which is sad.
At the moment I feel as if I am being bullied for daring to say I like the other site which is not a nice feeling at all.

Jan ,
You don't have to open political parts of the forum; you could start topics more suited to your likes and interests.
Maybe kittens and things

I enjoy both sites, many of you have been members of both, many of you still visit both as evidenced by some of the comments here and on other threads.
I will not enter into an argument on either site about the other as I believe it does all of us a disservice and I believe that there is room in this town for the both of them.
We all sometimes let our fingers run away with us when typing and post things that in the cold light of day we probably shouldn't have done, none of us are perfect...

Ross, perhaps you could inform Vic that his email box may have been hacked.
Some of us have received emails from his mail box with links to substances that apparently help in slimming.
I am not sure what these products are, or if they are to standard with regulations.
Some such products may be risky and a health hazard if not approved by regulation.
I received two identical links in one such email, but deleted the mail, as I considered it possibly a virus. No credible producer would promote its products in such a way.

ross sums the situation well in that people can post on any forum they choose, doesn't have to be just one.
he is a moderator on there and doesn't feel the need to disparage this one.

Hi Alexander - Vic is aware of the problem and is off line at the moment whilst a local IT company cleans his PC

Thanks, Ross.
I opened the links, yesterday, before reading about them on the Dover Forum.
I hope my Giraffe 1X programme can cope with it all

Just accidentally typed doverforum.co.uk ... it re-directs you to Dover Locals, clever tactic that one tbh. Is this new or has that been the case for along time?
