didn't know it was an army recruitment site stewart, only know it as moats bulwark.

No not that building, closer to the town centre than that.....
The building you both refered to was the former offices for the WW1 Royal Naval Air Station and probably dated from the 1860s for Guilford Battery on that site (as well as the country's first open air cinema!!)
