Done that for years and carrying the cross on my own all the way up the hills and steps to the Western highs ,but could not even walk up there now without my stick .I do hope many turnout for this event and the meaning behind it .

a large mob in the market square when I went down that way at 1045.
they broke into a well known tune as I walked past.

The bootfair was moved to Saturday due to Tilmanstone starting back up but i dont think its been a success as it seems that most would rather save their bits n bobs for Sunday. I,ve seen many bootfairs held on Saturdays but as a rule Sundays are the day that people like going to them.

I think Saturday is seen as the main shopping day for essentials by most people so Sunday is more for leisure which most people see boot fairs as.
