12:4790724A number of thugs managed to get into the Cairo Museum through the roof, smash some artefacts and rip the heads off two mummies. Let's hope the army can contain the place and prevent any further break-ins to protect the exhibits. The loss of these is a crime against our cultural heritage, not just Egypts, and would be a colossal blow to tourism when things have finally settled down. The incident has a horrible echo of the wholesale destruction of the National Museum of Iraq's priceless treasures.

12:5790725during the night 4 prisons were attacked freeing hundreds of muslim extremists and thousans of criminals.
the ordinary member of the public will be far too busy protecting their homes and businesses to worry about the museum.
one can only hope that the army can protect the artefacts.
