Also read recently that Brazil is pumping loadsamoney into the road network to get people to their Olympics venue - at current rate of progress should be ready a couple of years after the event!
I'm surprised no-one has commented yet on Boris's latest statement (or have I missed somthing?)

Anyone who thinks he is a buffoon should watch some of the Mayor's Question Time on BBC Parliament channel - he could out-perform any of our current political 'heavyweights' from any party.

Another `U`turn on money for the elderly care. There has been a dramatic rethink by
Cameron.
The Coalition will now adopt,in the next parliamentry session, the `Dilnot` proposals.
All the many, many `U`turns are due to the initial polices being ill-conceived......
Full report in the Independent.

Justine Greening one of the very few `acceptable` Cabinet ministers looks like she
could lose her job because she supports the government policy `not` to have a third
runway at Heathrow ?!!?
Senior Tories and Osborne are now in favour of a third runway at Heathrow which
would mean Greening would not be able to stay as Transport minister.
By moving Greening would mean yet another `U` turn of massive proportions.
Then Cameron would be in more trouble on the Boris front......who wants an island
airport ........
Things are warming up...trouble at Mill not only at DDC.........
