The record shows it all, 18 years at Age Concern 4 years as Chairman. Ten years as governor of St Radigunds School 4 years as Chairman. 25 years as District councillor for River .!0 years as a Parish Councillor.
My job is to challenge, all councils should be accounctable to the public they represent .
Sad that it came to this .
I still attend Alkham to give my reports
Not difficult to deal with just doing the job I was elected to do

all seems to be a storm in an egg cup as susan is not a parish councillor so any decisions would be made by serving parish councillors.
she can still go along to meetings and have an input much as before.

Before and if any,as a cllr siting on the River Parish council,I would be happy if nothing more was said about this one by Mrs Nicholas or forum members it is over and done with, we have all seen what was said by the chairman of the parish Council, and it is the wrong heading of this post anyway,it has nothing to do with the mill, even our meetings are not held there. And I have only said this because of that wrong heading. Thank you.

Howard, I appreciate your reference to Monty Python.
I for one did not expect to read about a particular mill any more than a particular tea-cup.

Surely "trouble at mill" is a commonly used old fashioned saying?

Now J.K.Rowling has finished with the Harry Potter series she is moving into the world of parish councils, Vicar of Dibley has nothing on the real thing.

How childish!
It sounds like a case of "agree with us or keep your mouth shut". Much like kids in playgrounds -" if you don't do what we want to do then go away".
Are they scared of someone giving their own views?
Sue Nicholas is a very intelligent and lovely person. She's down to earth and cares passionately for Dover. She is being castigated for having and telling her opinions. Shame on you River.
Sour grapes
Stay as sweet as you are Sue x

I always find these fall outs leaves a nasty taste in the mouth.
Having been a cllr for 25 years one of many ways of communicating the councils
ideas etc was to attend community/parish meetings.
we may not have always agreed, but certainly i cant recall ever getting to the stage of being banned to give a report.
and for the chair to use the words the working relationship has broken down, doesn't bode well for the future

# 18.Agree.......and for a chair not to let a member of the public ask a question does`t bode well for the future.....

i'm reading it differently to you reg, mr leach withdrew the privelege of reporting district council matters at parish council meetings.
mrs nicholas, as a resident of river, is entitled to attend and ask what questions she likes at meetings, i strongly suspect that she will do.
