Jubilee Way remains closed in both directions so please continue to use the A20 as an alternative route to and from the Port. Check with @HighwaysSEAST for the latest updates, thank you

Crabble Hill is closed today.
Network Rail are working at the filled-in part of the Kearsney Loop. Just routine I would hope.

Crabble Hill is closed as there’s been a fire at the “new” flats. I think every fire brigade vehicle in Kent must be there.
Wondered why I had no water!

I hope there are no injuries. Lots of Sunday disruption, multi occupancy buildings always mean a high brigade call out.

https://one.network/ says Buckland Avenue - Barton Road - Frith Road will be closed 9th-14th June.
This could be night working, as London Road from Whitfield Hill to Buckland Bridge is meant to be closed during the night next week.

Night-time closures. For "strategic road re lining" whatever that is.

There us at Aycliffe thought that TAP was meant to keep Dover clear… Each time lately the road from the Western heights roundabout via Snargate to the Port was completely…
Folkestone bound to the Western heights round about both lanes blocked..
The Western Heights roundabout entrances and exits completely blocked.
This meant Aycliffe residents had no idea if buses would make it.
Why it this allowed to happen
Residents had to go over the Western Heights where on North Military town Eurocar were using to park their van fleet making it difficult for cars to up or down the road. Lately they have been using it as their own personal car park.
Again why are allowed to do this…
Still lessons will be learnt…

Good morning Mr Dodd,
Thank you for your recent communication.
As I have responded to you on numerous occasions it is a matter for Kent County Council , not Dover District Council.
I am more than aware how it affects residents of Aycliffe , and whereby gridlocks the whole town .
Best wishes,
As usual our illustrious DDC labour councillor passes the buck. Nothing to do with me even though it in their ward….

To be fair it is a Kent HIghways issue the best your DDC or DTC ward councillor can do is write to the relevant KCC portfolio holder and officer team on the residents behalf

The main problem is there is no real will by Highways to find a permanent solution, it is easier and cheaper to provide these temporally solutions that are of little or no help to those affected in the town and bigger area.
