 - In my opinion MPs should be local people who know the area that they are representing and not ‘helicoptered’ in from wherever because they fit the party profile and have been coached to always tow the party line.  Ordinary people no longer have any faith in government because it no longer represents their values and views. Another new government is unlikely to do any better until they start actually listening to constituents. Of course that would mean knowing how to find their constituency! - victor matcham likes this

Never mind not knowing it's the B2245. I only found out relatively recently that that whole stretch of road isn't all Ladywell and that past the river it is Park Place.

Ladywell did get a proper fnar fnar from my Lancashire friend when they visited.

This is going to a nightmare closing the main road through the town for a month. 
 A256 Buckland Avenue will be closed between the junctions of Brookfield Avenue and Lorne Road, from 2nd April 2024, with estimated completion by 3rd May 2024.
