P.S. The cable car is a crazy idea and totally impractical.
Of course it is - unfortunately at Fort Whitfield there are a number who have 'drunk the Kool Aid'.

The millions being spent on a water feature are a brilliant idea. This is what everyone in Kent has been demanding for years so they would have a reason to visit Dover.

#1874 Hi Sue, the pictures are from before the 1st public consultation during which a number of respondents raised the issue about the benches and them having no arms or back rests. The comments were listened to and my understanding is that the final design will have different types of benches, some with backs and arm rests. Given the cost of professional services to re-draw such representations and the need to keep pre-bid costs as low as possible, the changes to the seating design do not show on the pictures of the square because new impressions were not commissioned to reflect the final design.
