 - The Town council could do little with such a small budget
It is looking a little bleak though in market square

 - Huge?

"while also open to potential future active asset management opportunities."

 Translation please?
I read it as; You might want to give it a clean at some point, maybe.

 - Quite happy to see it bulldozed along with the old Sainsbury’s. Been in there once in about 20 years, only because I thought you could still cut through the other entrance of the car park.

Residential and some retail would be fine with me .

Open up some of the Dour too.

 - Not sure what type of retail it would attract? The quality of shopping available in Dover is very poor and unlikely to improve anytime soon. Sadly the local demographic doesn’t lend itself to speculative retail development. There’s no money to spend , few employment opportunities in the local area

I don't feel it was a good move

Recently using card i got charged twice because there machines were faulty
 Luckily I check my account

Have to say soon sorted once I contacted club!

 - Dover couuld be worse! Here's an article on Gosport ( and it's not even up north) https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14001149/Life-poorest-town-county-worst-budget-Britain-locals-Gosport-battling-spiralling-child-obesity-1-000-homeless-shops-nearly-1m-cuts.html-
Meanwhile Deal is buzzing with all (?) retail premises full or being refurbished.
 -
Planning permission sought for FIVE more units (old Factory Shop) and THREE units (old Taproom/Hutchins, South Street)
 -
Thank God DDC never tried to re-imagine (sic) Deal with any of their ill thought out improvements.
 -
Anyone for a statue of Adam Smith for Deal and a blue plaque for Samuel Shenton at 24 London Rd, Dover?
