Alexander D,
You are advocating nothing of the sort. It is oil that is doing the advocating here. It is quite immaterial what you think you are advocating. If it turns out the eskimos have more oil than the arab that is where our interests would be, so lets get real shall we??
Alec,
When I returned from my self imposed exile from the forum, I promised myself that I would not be tempted into making any rude judgements on my fellow forumites. Have to say it has been one extreme struggle. LOL
Alexander
If Babylon was built by the sumerians, can I assume that they are Iraqi arabs??
Good luck with your building of strong economic ties with the arab. If it is possible would you allow me to opt out of such tom foolery??
P.S.
Watch your back!!
Jimmy, I wasn't trying to wind you up. I had my knuckles rapped on here many years ago for being a wee bit outspoken so now try to take a back seat and keep out of politics.
Jimmy, the Sumerians and the Chaldeans lived thousands of years BC, and did not speak Arabic, nor was their country called Irak.
Arabic was introduced after 630 AD as a language, although the people in Irak do descend from the ancient inhabitants of thousands of years ago. These ancient inhabitants - Sumerains and Chaldeans - spoke Aramaic.
In Syria, there are some villages where the people speak Aramaic today.
Aramaic is related to Hebrew, and in fact Abraham came from Ur in southern Sumeria.
Gov. has just started reviewing arms-sales to Arab countries. Well done Gov.
As I stated yesterday, the Arab world needs to reduce their arms-budget, and invest the money in other spheres of society.
