According to leaked documents most of the great and the good all around the world are benefiting from them usually from British protectorates. Austerity seems to be for the rest of us.

The icelandic prime minister has now resigned over his use of the scheme, I wonder how many others will do the same?

Probably most will just keep their heads down until it all blows over, Icelandics are still reeling from the banking scandal that brought the country to its knees so he knew he couldn't wriggle out of it.

Most Brits are also reeling from the banking scandle that brought our country to its knees but you can bet your bottom dollar that our Prime Minister will wiggle out of it! At least we are all in it together.

There was a bloke on BBC Breakfast this morning who is a financial expert in such funds and who had looked at and understood all the detail, unlike most political commentators.
He put it all into context re Cameron - someone invested some money with his wife in a not very tax efficient fund held in Ireland ( a full member of the EU), and which many people unknowingly also do though their ISAs and pension pots, and paid UK tax on it when they cashed it in. There is no financial story.
The story is the incompetence of Cameron's PR machine.

He has none nothing wrong if thy keep hounding the rich like they are none will stand for office and then where will the nation be ,Best thing the UK could do is make it a safe place for the rich of the world to bank here by letting them put all their money in our banks and pay no tax on it .That way the banks would do well and the rich would spend more money in the UK,we should welcome them with open hands to all the rich of the world and we would all end up better off.

What the public are most concerned about is the integrity of the Prime Minister who kept changing his story, the amount of money involved is rather trivial to involve such deceit.

Don't think you are correct Howard. He answered the questions he was asked but ventured nothing further. "Pulling teeth" maybe but not telling untruths & doing nothing illegal. Poor PR advice!!

Not a story of dishonesty, greed and shady dealings; a story of bad PR advice.

I agree with Ray and Neil, his PR advisers need to pull their finger out and in future give Cameron better advice.
I bet if there was not an election next month or the referendum in July this whole non story would not be rumbling on. Still I suppose it makes a change from hearing about Donald Trump's latest waffle.

I've told my children that I'm stopping giving them any more money just in case they ever reach high political office. Can't be too careful?

The rise in air fares to the Bahamas is reducing the cost effectiveness of having my State Pension paid into an offshore fund. The monthly flight to draw money to do the food shop is fast catching up with the tax saving I have been enjoying.
Does anyone know whether it is possible to use my bus pass towards the cost of the flight or whether there is a way that it could be enhanced to cover the full cost?
