Going through Pencester Gardens an hour or so ago big claps of thunder rung out and the sky went very dark but just a few spots of rain, surprised to see so many market traders brave the elements.

We have been lucky - other than anyone wanting to travel by train. Flooding at Gillingham and elsewhere has been causing chaos, with one train from Victoria now over 2 hours late. Stagecoach report problems in Ashford caused by flooding.

There's been a storm hanging around off Ramsgate for an hour - seems to like the place!

That was a big one last night - one thunderclap at 2245! On the other hand, there was quite a bit of rain......

Any sign of the inevitable hosepipe ban yet?

I see the Met Office are still crying wolf for this area, even though they give the chance of rain as less than 20%.
Please note the forecast is for Dover area not the whole of the South East so I expect it to be somewhat close to what I can expect.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

There is a storm close to Calais which looks as though it could be heading this way..... It might clear the mist which has descended again.
