Restructuring of their fares from this coming Sunday, fairly complicated stuff with zones being extended and Megarider fares going up.

The 15B will be on the 15 licence so until timetables are published, we won't know. It would be useful if Stagecoach actually said something!

Normally Stagecoach don't give much advance information on timetable changes, they always start on a Sunday and one finds out by looking at the new timetable at the bus stop after waiting. One year they changed the bus stops in Pencester Road without warning and I remember a Folkestone bus moving off from the new stop with no passengers whilst a dozen or more of us were standing at the normal stop.
There has to be a lot more notice given of these major changes.

They always announce them on their website around a fortnight before (unless it's an emergency change).

Question being raised at DDC meeting tonight.Let us hope Cllr Collor will have some answers .Seems to me we the public will not be aware of the changes until the last minute .

Keith, they didn't try to slip anything through. They have no legal obligation to consult on changes, merely to inform KCC of their plans. The fact that they published proposals on their website indicates a degree of openness. The publication of licence applications in Notices and Proceedings (a DVLA website) is part of the legal process of putting any changes into place. You have until 7th August to object but you would need to have strong legal grounds.

Need some stamina to wade through this but I noticed on page 18 they are amending the timetable for the 68 route despite the original statement that it would remain unchanged.

Howard, that might just be the odd timing change. They can't make significant changes as it's a KCC contract. Assuming Stagecoach don't release timetables, the revised versions should appear on Traveline in early August (depending on how quickly KCC update them!).

Going off at a tangent just heard bac k from KCC that the current contract for the 68 route expires next April and this time we don't have Gordon Cowan to work his magic!!

The new timetables are now on Traveline and it doesn't look as though anything has changed from what they published. However, it may be that there will be tweaks - they had to beat the licensing deadline. We can always be optimistic......

www.travelinesoutheast.org.uk. New timetables not on there to view but journey planner works for 3 Sept onwards. Only had quick look but 15b seems not to run and 68 runs only between town centre and Temple Ewell. Might be wrong though.

All very confusing Jeff and I found the same as you re: 68 Maxton/town centre, then put in for a detailed personalised one and they gave three options, one of which is simply to walk!! However option 2 suggests the Maxton bit is still covered.

Howard, had a second look, planner does not like Maxton as a destination but works for Belgrave Road. Shows departure from Stop F Priory St. Does it currently leave from there?

They have made it more complicated than need be Jeff, I put in Mount Road in Maxton and it gave 8 options, the 4th showed the 68 still servicing it. Starts Market Square then goes to Stop F in Priory Street. No timetables changes as far as I can see.
Sue, type in your postcode then the destination and you will find out whether the 15 diverts into part of the 15B route.
