Carnivores would also enjoy the black and white puddings my Dad used to have sent over specially!!!!

Well a happy St Patricks day to all. I never see much celebration of it in Dover but elsewhere they push the boat out in grand style. Dublin will rock and roll and certainly Temple Bar as mentioned above will be heaving...and no doubt will experience some of that other kind of heaving after all the black stuff gets swallowed on saturday night. The Saint himself would be tut tutting from the wings but with a glint in his Oeye.
I see there is no mention of Irish Stew in the delights suggested on the link..rather a Nettle and Sorrel Omelette bejayses. That's rather fancy that one is so it is..I've never had nettle, (they bring me out in a rash!!
) and I dont even know what Sorrel is...but what the hell you can try anything once. ( as long as its only once otherwise you might get to like it! )

Im nearly crying in me beer here looking at that and thinking of long ago...with a sigh and a sob. two guys joined the dearly departed and they never could replace them.. one was Ronnie Drew and the other was Luke Kelly. I saw these guys perform back in the old days and gosh they were good.
Bern will remember this one...

I have experienced Temple Bar on St. Patrick's day and by the evening it was almost impossible to move. The Americans lap it up, all with tenuous links to the emerald isle!
That being said, an amazing atmosphere.
