The real issue is funding and not beach huts or parking. We all know that central Government has cut funding to local authorities year on year since 2010 and other than a levy for social care this year Council tax could not be raised. In order not to cut vital services councils around the country have had to look for other forms of revenue such as parking charges, admission fees to leisure centres and swimming pools and as we have now discovered beach huts.

Aycliffe has been around since 1958. The issue they can find funding for beach huts but not for helping out Aycliffe Residents with parking....

Any funding for the beach huts if needed might just be done by the parish council but I do not know.

Beach huts have alwAys been a sauce of revenue for the Council. If memory serves me right car parking provision comes from a different budget .

I can't see this changing anytime soon either Sue as the revenue needs to
ketchup with the council spending.

Makes a change from other topics. One Aycliffe residents expresses his concerns regarding parking and others advise about revenue .No harm in that surely .

I do not read your life story posts.
I was actually thinking of the bus posts, I have not used a bus for a couple of years as I use my mobility scooter or get driven by car.

Not lucky at all Sue. I would much prefer to have the ability to use a bus rather than having to rely on my daughter.

I think what Jan meant by her statement that (Quote). “I do not read your life story posts. “(Unquote),
is that she prefers to use the windows 10 facility that allows her computer to read it to her to help give her a good nights rest.
Perhaps you could post it in video form to make it more realistic?
