Shingles Club!
- 4 August 2010 06:3163925So sorry to hear about the shingles Jeane; I've never had it so can't empathise, but do sympathise. I know it is very painful and drives you nuts.
Hope you are over half way through now.
I thought it was a send-up of the singles thread and expected to see a "hic" there.

Ha ha thanks Roger, yes I'm about half way there. Thankfully I have a quiet week this week and am working from home. Next week I am doing an interview with the local paper and trying out a new craze for a magazine - a fish pedicure! Yes that's right I said fish, or to be more precise Garra Rufa fish. Basically you take a seat, submerge your feet in a warm tank of water and lots of tiny fish nibble away any dead skin leaving feet smooth and soft. That should be interesting!!

I know how painful Shingles is, had it about 20 odd years ago 
I saw that fish pedicure procedure on TV very recently, can't remember which TV personality it was but apparently it works a treat and is very therapeutic

- 9 August 2010 20:4464722Thanks Colin, I'm on to week two now and though the blisters are going (thankfully confined they were confined to my back) I am still in a fair bit of pain. I have been warned that the pain can go on for a while though. I'm having trouble sleeping, although that's nothing new. I'm still carrying on regardless, did an interview and photo shoot with the local paper today and am off to London during the week.

Richard Armour - 10 August 2010 13:0164772It's apparently helpful for psoriasis and eczema. I'm just doing a write up for a magazine article which had been scheduled before I got it. I'm not contagious now so I won't give the fishies shingles!
