I have had notification from the Council as ward Councillor along with Cllr Pam Brivio of the reasons for the shutting down.Little bit more than no hot water, but hopefully when it is sorted out then it should be open again soon.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!
I would be happy to go back JHG the food was really rather good

for some reason i am reminded of that famous "fawlty towers" episode with the health inspector.
the closing line was when basil opened the biscuit tin for a guest to select crackers for his cheese and a rodent pops its head out.
by now a demented basil was past caring and uttered calmly "care for a rat"?

Just got back from a fantastic official relaunch dinner at the Seven Seas Portuguese Restaurant, as always the food was fantastic and the service attentive as always. Jol is an excellent chef and has progressively extended his menu to incorporate many more Portuguese and even Brazilian dishes. It really is worth a visit - phone them on 01304 330 154 or e-mail them at

I agree with Ross as I was at the launch as well,I recommend the Chicken in Parmasan cheese with mashed potatoes and the caramalised bananas and the Coconut in caramel sauce, yes I had 2 puddings, well they offered.
