The vote for this was yesterday .It was for a seat on DDC .
The Conservative got elected however the Liberal was not far behind. If the Rubbish Collection is not sorted out soon .The public will. Probably not vote.
Next election St Radigunds for a seat on the Town Council.

When's that Sue? Being on the very edge of St Rads I'm interested. Mind you, in past elections we've never had any bumpf in the door! Because of that there's never been any incentive to vote.

Unknown labour candidate
A seat labour should really hold
Used to be safe lab for st rads
But in recent years boundary changed and labour stopped listening this seat lab has a habit of losing it .

Only 27.38% voted in any case, compared to 40.31% last time round. The 'winning' candidate earned a mere 14% of the vote. Sanity will only begin when the public 'not vote'.

Andy I’m not sure how long you have lived in Dover but I think you need to do a bit of rearch. To show how politicians work together locally .Keith,Gwny Prosser and myself we fought to keep what was St Radigunds School now White Cliffs .
I’m not going to bore you with my achievements but one of the many things was I got a bus service to go via Lyndhurst Road and roads beyond..
I will leave it there but please look into what we have achieved. The Water Sports Centre.
St Radigunds got a Community Centre .I was not involved with that . There is a car Park in Coombe Valley Road opposite Labour HQ .Took me a lot of effort but the residents got their car park .

Actually, I've lived in Dover town 23 years and East Kent all my life, first visiting Dover when I was about 5.
I've still got the reply cards from Mr Prosser stating he would get back to me about two things I raised......never heard back. The two most recent MPs have done nothing for me other than email me and because I raised valid points but they didn't agree with me, got nowhere.
I have had recent support and help from two local councillors but await to see any results.
It would be nice to hear your achievements because before I got involved this forum, I'm really sorry, but I'm afraid I'd never heard of you as a councillor.

Hey! Be careful, young man a request like that could even open the floodgates for a lifetimes reminiscing being posted. It might also tempt another illustrious resident of River to continue to post his life story again, which you would be enthralled by.
Many regular Forumers are still suffering from withdrawal symptoms as he left us with a cliffhanger without saying goodbye.
p.s. He even has a famous neighbour who gives him some good tips for staying upright which he rarely gave a mention to! Posting, #360.

You didn't have to but a very interesting career, although never being able to afford anywhere in River, that's probably why I'd never heard of you, plus it seems much of what you have done is not (yet!) in my age group.
But then is River actually Dover? I have five work colleagues who live in River and Temple Ewell and they refuse point blank to admit they live in Dover! Don't get me wrong, I consider it Dover but they get so cross when I argue the point!

If you were around in 1936, and can still be awake and able to post sensibly on a forum on a Sunday afternoon what are you on……..many on here could benefit with a magic potion! #18/15.34
