It doesn't help that there are so few bins to put the rubbish in. I have asked for more bins many times; each time, it's a no no because lack of funding. It's a matter of priorities and this, obviously, is not a high enough priority.

It's a matter of education, Keith. As a small child, I was taught that it is wrong to drop litter. Nowadays you see parents throwing rubbish on the ground in front of their kids.
If people cared about their environment, and understood why they should care, the problem would go away.
