I catch the train into town often and these past weeks the litter problem has got worse.
I see tourists walking down Folkestone Road and feel sorry that this is their first impression of our town.
And the dog poo problem by the college wall is increasing too.

Love it, still laughing now.
It was bad enough when the yobs just had aerosols, now the cretins are using superglue!

How many lagers did you have, still a good shot from the prone position!

Only kidding here's what could be a more recent shot.

the important thing is that they keep it nice and tidy, somewhere of the standard on the library steps.

The only way we are ever going to see this town in a decent state is to pick it up ourselves. Also for people to stop putting their bin bags out the night before the collection.

in a lot of cases people don't have much choice because of shift patterns and we are told that bags should be available for collection at 7 a.m.

Very true Howard, luckily we have bins but Wendy puts them out at 5.30 on her way to work.

going off slightly at a tangent i am often in folkestone on a sunday morning and each time rubbish is strewn around because of overflowing bins. these ones here are all in the bus station, i shudder to think what the place will look like by monday morning.

Looks like they've cracked it Howard.

They provide bins which are well used for the purpose they are provided for AND they are still in the upright position!
Perhaps if we copied this in Dover with the instructions in multi culture languages it would work.
Well spotted!

OMG - is that a rat in Bobs photo? What are we coming to if we let this happen? I think we all, and I mean all, need to do our bit to stop this happening. Being responsible for our own mess could prevent scenes like this. Is that so impossible?
There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".
