At Blakes we aren't going to make too much of a fuss on the royal wedding day.
However, we shall have a TV in the bar for the occasion and will open at 10 am.
10-11 am: Coffee, juice, croissants and bacon sandwiches in the bar and garden.
11.00 Bar opens. (Bucks Fizz? - Jugs of Pimm's?) Actual wedding is 11 to 12.
12.00 Barbecue lit - bring your own picnic or food for the BBQ as we shall only be providing mugs of soup!
All forumites (and others) welcome.
Peter & Kathryn.

Sounds a great reason to come down - whether you're interested in the wedding or not.
I'll see what (gardening) work I can get done first.

As the £20 million Royal bloody Wedding day looms ever closer bear a thought for their poor old cleaners the public servants' union has launched a campaign to increase the workers' pay from the meagre £6.45 an hour to the London living wage of £7.85. as endorsed by London Mayor Boris (Bozo) Johnson. The cleaners in the House of Commons and Lords are also paid this rate.
The royal household receives around £30m a year from taxpayers. PCS general secretary Mark Serwotka said: "As the royals prepare to spend millions of pounds on Prince William's wedding, they're refusing to insist that the people who keep their palaces clean are paid a living wage.
