#16 - Yes Andrew that was my reaction. I can only imagine that the course will continue when they merge.
#17 - I'm sure she is nice etc, but I don't see what is wrong with calling her horsey?!

David, as I have already said a number of times, if the Town Team were to create a good Business Plan (and you're all business owners, so you should be able to produce one) and separately visited the various stake-holders in Dover - DDC, DTC. DHB and others (you've already received a pledge from Menon and Seelan at the Ramada and Dover Marina Hotel and Spa); I don't believe it would be that difficult to raise money for a Town Team Manager and as membership grows, so will your income;
with a salary of £20,000 to £25,000, it's not unachievable.
A Consultation Paper doesn't have the same ring to it to a potential supporter/sponsor, as a Business Plan.
Publicity for their support would be a natural advantage to them - web-site, letter-heads etc. etc. There are so many things that could/can be done to raise money.
Creating a web-site that will generate an on-going income flow will also help raise the necessary funds.
Instead of wringing your (collective) hands and telling me I'm talking cobblers, these things should be worked on.
It gets you and the Team nowhere by continually poo-pooing my ideas, they are all workable and achievable and to ensure your success, should be followed.
Thanks for your support Vic. !!

Full report on the visit in this coming Thursday's East Kent Mercury.
It's us at Dover Marine Services (Dover Sea Sports) delivering the project in conjunction with Walmer Science College.
A picture of us meeting HRH. And charming she was!
