Tom, did you hear Ian Dunkerley on Radio Kent this morning? Plenty of local businesses benefitted greatly, ask the pubs, restaurants, taxi drivers and letting agents. It gave temporary work to hundreds of students and others.
We took a nice order from ESPN to print their player fact sheets

No, I heard not.
At the time it was reported here that there was great consternation within the local catering sector.
What, I wonder, was the 'fact' associated with the gender of each competitor...n/a?

tom is referring to the catering being done by a company in scotland by coincidence not far from the headquarters of the royal and ancient golf club.
additionally once a spectator entered the course they were not allowed out, if they left they were not let back in.
local businesses were miffed to say the least.

David, n/a...not applicable. A small bit of humour regarding the issue being discussed on this thread.

Howard, in order to join you must first be invited by an established member. Once interviewed you must gather letters of support from existing members, even then there is the chance of being declined or "blackballed".
It is not possible to simply apply.

The decision was one of the pre-conditions for a consideration for the British Open's return to Sandwich.
Courses are already allocated up tp 2019. We have been in negotiations with R & A for about eighteen months on a date for the return.
Nigel Collor met with the R & A at St Andrews recently supported by KCC & Visit Kent I believe.
