That team with a Central American name - Montenegro - must have played quite well to draw with England.
A boot up the hind can be quite painful, with all those pikes sticking out from underneath a football shoe.

Anyone who saw Mr Rooney senior winding his way to the local nick on TV the other day wouldnt be too taxed to notice the dopleganger effect, the apple doesnt fall far from the tree! It is worth reflecting on the notion, often mooted during the recent riots, that the parents should play more of a guiding role with their wayward youth. Middle class analysis there. What happens when the parents are as bad or even worse...and they often are.

So banned for three matches. Good serves him right.
Ppl moaned the punishment not harsh enough and now it is they are moaning again! I'm sorry but if a 'team' player ruins our chances then so be it. They'll always remember him for it and learn from it.

Plenty of time to plan without him, do they pick him now and hope we qualify and he can play in the later stages or write him off , not that we get to the later stages anyway

Nobody is indispensable even though we like to think we are, the team will survive without him and might even improve.

i allways thought football was a team game and not a individal player related game.so if cappelo picked 15 players who could play football then we [england] might start winning games, but if he picks players with the biggist ego's like he is doing know then we have no chance of winning any thing.

The three match ban was indeed the punishment ...as I suspected it would be earlier. Lots of fellow players I believe are both bleeting and tweeting about 'poor rooney' which is scandalous in itself. The penny never drops. Im not a tweeter or a follower of tweeting myself (dinosaur!) but I heard about the tweeting on the TV news. The football authority said it was a clear and common assault...no excuse for it...so the punishment was fair.
This was a blatant kick out at somebody. It wasnt concerning a harsh tackle or anything like that...so again no excuses. Its just a pity that his fellow players dont point the finger at him, instead we get the 'poor rooney' bit.
If the eejit let England down then its him that should be blamed not the football authority for dishing out the appropriate medicine.

In 1966 out top striker Jimmy Greaves got injured, Geoff Hurst came in to replace him and the rest is history, life will go on with or without Rooney.

quite so, many a time a star player has dropped out of contention and others have made up the shortfall.

Yes he has let England down and his family and himself just hope they stop his pay from that march, and he should not go round with the English lads till his ban is over, and he should also be stoped from playing with his club.
