You will all have seen this terrible story on the various news programmes about Wayne Rooney's latest flirtation with hooliganism. Absolutely appalling just to kick out in temper tantrum spite, at someone who took the ball off him. Some example he is, still displaying all the hallmarks of the neanderthal.
If you havent seen it, he kicked out at a player from Montenegro from the rear..after the player was moving away from him....with the ball. He was nowhere near the ball so it was common assault.
He got an immediate Red Card.
He will now almost certainly be banned for 3 qualifying matches for violent conduct, leaving the England team deflated and depleted.

They should start cutting their wages for behaviour like that...we'll soon see the game go back to how it once was!

Another bad week in the life of Rooney, he cannot be defended for the foul last night just sheer bad temper. Not sure how you punish someone so wealthy as he is.
Audere est facere.
He was asked to sign a letter so he took of his shirt and wrote 10

A lifetime ban from the professional game and allow his club to sue him for the return of his transfer fee plus criminal prosecution for common assault. Why are these yobs above the law?

an easy one this, reduce there wages in stages,
a yellow card see's a redution of a permanant £500 quid a week
a red card see's a redution of a permanat £1000 quid a week.
the more cards they get the les they earn, once they reach a certain level say a grand a week a suspension of play for x amount of weeks.so on and so forth.

No brian we have to remove such scum from the game immediately and permanently otherwise British football can never recover its reputation.

No second chances. Bob Frost didn't get a second chance, why should Rooney?

a bit over the top peter, there are much worse culprits around, though not as much as there were 30 years ago.
remember the last world cup final between spain and holland when everyone blamed the english ref for the teams trying to kick lumps out of each other?

The top football players are under the impression they are indispensable it is about time they were made to realise they are not however good they are.
They should be fined at least £10,000 for a red card with a six month ban and no fee if they get another card within six months. The money saved should go to an appropriate charity that way the club do not benefit financially.
I would be quite happy for Peter to join our society.

not actually about high pay, their off field antics may be attributable to their disposable income.
on the field very different, when i was young they did not earn a great deal but the behaviour was appalling, some of the tackling bordered on criminal behaviour.

It was only a Johnny foreigner he gave a boot up the arse...not even a member of the EU so no big deal really

I wish the law would do the same to SarahP's alfresco town drinkers and beggars.
