The Crabble Corn Mill is part of the community and by that I mean Dover as a District not just River and it will always try to support events as it did yesterday and enjoyed doing so.
What was good about yesterday was not what the Mill made financially or what the Church hall or Parish Hall made but about Fun for all, at little to no cost to those who came out to enjoy the Scarecrows that many people in River had spent a lot of time making, in the name of "Fun for All".
Families out together, Mum Dad and the kids, Grandparents with their Grandchildren and yes people talking to each other and having a laugh. The weekend was a success and it was an enjoyable success.
The Mill does want support all year round, but please do not spoil a good weekend by having a go about how much we made selling cups of tea or how much someone else made. On this occasion it was about taking part in a Community event.
However look forward to seeing some of you at the Cider Festival and there will be some Real Ales.

Oh yes and the Local school made a good number of scarecrows they were all round their playground, I must have spent half an hour trying to tell my Granddaughter who all the Scientists were.
