Deeply sad news. Marek was, indeed, a legend, with wit and humour. I will miss him, and my thoughts are with his family at this time.

indeed my thoughts are with marites and natascha at this awful time for them.
they were regulars at st paul's in maison dieu road and marek used the social club there when he first arrived in dover.

What sad news, shiela informed me today, Marek came from the left leaning but was always welcoming to all that he came in contact with.
He brightened up many a party.
Marek will be missed by all those close to him, but I will miss both his friendly nature when seeing him in person, but his contributions were well recieved by the forum.

I have been following this post,I am also very sad to see the Dover Forum has lost one of their best posters,We both went to the same church when he was in Dover, but I did not know him in person only on the forum,we never saw eye to eye but that does not matter,both mywife and myself are thinking of his family at this time.Also died this week was a Member of the Doverlocals Under the name of Dire Straits,he was only posting, to me a few hours before he went,I did not know him, only on the forum but he also done some very good posts over the years and will be missed,he again was one that did not like some of my post but like Marek that does not matter,we are not only thinking of him at this very sad time but his family to. Thank you.

So very sorry, and shocked, to hear this sad news. I never met him but was a fan of his posts, and he came across as a really lovely man. R.I.P Marek.
Missing him already and was thinking about him this morning - I can picture him having an argument with whichever God he might encounter about whether or not he exists!! His naughty and outspoken ways and the warmth with which he made his feelings known will keep his memory fresh.
