Farewell Bryan Forbes, West Ham lad
in an era of movies, his films were not half bad
He formed Beaver Films with Richard-A, darling Dicky-poo
and from Holly-wood to Els-tree they had much work to do

I often think we miss a great deal by turning our face steadfastly westward, and this is so true of all things 'Cinema';animation and film.
The imagery and imagination that hails from the East has always struck me as far superior to all thing Hollywood.
Here is just one name to conjure with...
Farewell Aleksei Balabanov, film-maker
a darkly comic muck-raker

Farewell Steuart Pittman, of Nuclear Bunker fame
Soviet Armageddon didn't come, but death's sickle got you just the same
with the end of "duck & cover", you urged folk to excavate to survive
your legacy was the death of 'duck' and the creation of many a trendy 'dive'

Mick McManus used to live across the road from us when I lived in Brixton, believe it or not his best mate was Jackie Palo, they were always in the front garden and would say hello when I passed by with my mates. R.I.P. Mick

Farewell Richard Thorp, TV Soap-star
his character grew, and shrank, as he grew too far
To Emmerdale from Emergency Ward 10, he enjoyed a steady wage
From Dam Busters, and with three ex-wives, he was heart-throb to ladies of a certain age
