Well I will be at football and that will be the best place to be weather is good but it is sad this is happing in the town the police could have and should have stopped it ,this will cost the tax payer about one million pounds and on top of that the poor shop keepers in the town will be well down on takings if they even open.

I dread to think how much this is costing Kent Police in other words us tax payers.
It must surely mean they have less resources to cover other day to day crimes.

Despite assurances from Kent Police it looks like many people are giving the town a wide berth today.

Kent's criminal fraternity must be loving it Jan, knowing that all the resources are in Dover. Mounted police sighted in Snargate St and Castle St.

Looks like the landlord of the Priory has time to get over to Bookers to re-stock.

So much for intelligence lead policing. Plod didn't notice counter demonstration building up blocking access to Eastern Docks.
Police Fail.

All rather predictable considering that these groups all have members that openly blab their intentions on social media for all the world to see.

No Howard. Police fail. Fascists had agreed route and time.
Plod have allowed totally unauthorised demonstration to block Queen's Highway. Shambolic amateur effort for Plod.

Only if it is a "demonstration" Bob, KARN have been rather clever here announcing a while back about an aid convoy to Calais, then announcing yesterday evening that they would be "escorting" the convoy from Market Square to the docks.

From their Facebook page.
Kent Anti-Racism Network shared their event.
21 hrs ·
The plan for tomorrow is to meet in Market Square at 11am, decorate the vehicles taking the aid out to Calais, and walk the convoy down to the docks to see them off. Please come and help counteract the hate of the Nazis by sending love, solidarity and warm socks to our neighbours in Calais.

Well, let's all hope it's part of Plod's Grand Plan. It might not be such a good idea to keep the KARN backed up onto a beach made of pebbles but who knows?

So far it seems to have been very well organised by the police but considering the numbers of them so it should be.
A shame the negative effect it has had on the businesses, plus the cost to them and police which someone has speculated will be about £300,000.

So it ends not with a bang but with a whimper? Absolutely pathetic turn out by the so called 'fascists'. I've taught larger classes than that. Their attempt to burn an EU flag was a total failure (the silly buggers did not realise that flammable flags are banned under an EU directive). Their speeches reduced to neanderthal grunts.
With the addition of the Police horses the whole thing took on the atmosphere of a meeting of the Sealed Knot Society where every weekend people dress up to fight battles that have been won long ago.
PLEASE can the 'left' ignore them in future as everyone else does, and if a couple of dozen people wish to walk to Docks to howl at the moon claiming that immigrants stole their jobs (whereas what actually happened was they did not have the skills to do the job; including speaking English in whole sentences) then so be it.
Without opposition they could even be walked to the Docks and back in a 'crocodile' using the pavement. I've certainly done that with school groups though if there are any naughty ones it is better to split them up and have them holding hands with a more reliable child.
