I was walking along the seafront this morning and DHB Special Constables were speaking with the homeless in the shelter. In just wondered if it's private land and the two gentleman were just waking up, is that a leisure activity, therefore allowed according to the signs?

They are Police Constables, not Special Constables.

Taken from the Port of Dover website itself where they describe their own officers.
"PoDP Officers are nominated and appointed as ‘special constables’ under section 79 of the Harbours, Docks and Piers clauses Act of 1847 which was subsequently modified by Part IV of the Dover Harbour Revision Order 2006 (S.I. 2167) and section 7 of the Marine Navigation Act 2013."

Thought the eastern end was missing one, but no, there it is.
Can't see one around the Marina Curve, but maybe they just raise the bridge!

We should be grateful that authorities allow us to do things. How on earth should we do anything otherwise?

In hindsight, I think those signs just appeared to stop Simon Jones from BBC reporting from the seafront. He seems to always be at Mr Farage's favourite reporting place now, the Western Heights car park.

Now they are taping the seats off with Police tape this morning, has anything happened here or are we just not allowed to sit anymore? Police tape suggests a crime?

Went passed yesterday. Counted at least 11 individual panes in the shelter had been vandalised (smashed).

Having just done my 1st Aid at work requalification, this is a very welcome sign on the seafront. It might have been better to have an arrow pointing towards it rather than a Treasure Hunt description as visitors might be confused!
Still good to have

Another sign appearing on the seafront today as I walked past the Dover Patrol Restaurant. It appears those "free for an hour" bays outside the restaurant are going to become "pay by SmS" bays!
I don't take a photo as the guy was hammering the sign to the post whilst balancing on a ladder, so didn't want to put him off!

Now with photo! They must have some kind of deal with DDC because the land (as confirmed by the sign just out of shot) is private property, yet the DDC logo is at the bottom of the sign? So who gives you the ticket? Port of Dover Police (they'd have to get out of their vans though!) or DDC wardens?

IIRC and so far as the seafront is concerned, (most of) the beach is owned by DHB, as is the promenade and the ground upon which the road is built; DDC owns (if that's the right word) the road.
As regards wardens etc, see
