With all the objections against the planning application from residents and only 2 for from DTC and The Dover Society I am sure it will be passed being Aycliffe..because no matter what we object to they totally never bother with what we say…
As the article states we need a large community centre not a shed. We are the only area in Dover that does not have one
By the way The Dover Society. Has not even have decency to reply to my E-mail I sent over two weeks ago…
One comment already .. it is only a 15 minute walk into town.. is he a speed walker and ever walked along that part of the A20 with lorries thundering pass you at 40 mph.

We objected to the respite centre. Basically on the grounds what the DDC said about it.
We are the only area in Dover without a community centre. The church was one but was more of a church.
We need a dedicated community centre because we are basically cut of from Town.

Perhaps the council could convert one of the redundant bus stops?

It is a shame the council did not purchase the land and turn it into a community hub.. hang on we did ask them… but our councillors informed me and said it would be underused. How do they know we never had a proper community hub up here..
Also the old building was a church so was not really a community hub. It was also falling apart

Iam also not happy with how they are treating you, YES YOU NEED BETTER BUS SERVICE, THEY NEED TO SORT OUT THE LORRY PARK. AND it is right you should have a community centre. but I as a person can not help in anyway if I could I would years ago I had a voice in what happen in Dover, but no more.

The flats look more like a prison block, bland and ugly.

Yup. Whilst Canary Wharf actually looks and feels fantastic.

And as a non-public space , like the Coal Drops Yard at the back of Kings Cross or Brindley Place in Birmingham, has zero graffiti and zero litter as well as having fantastic places to eat, work and live.
No riff-raff so what's not to like?
I somehow can't even see a branch of Gail’s Bakery opening anywhere in Dover District never mind about down Malvern Road!
