I stayed at the Hotel de la Plage for 3 months when working for NatWest, to help set up a new computer system; four months later I was back fro another 3 months, this toime staying at the Grand, which of I remember was just round the corner from the theatre and so most actors stayed at the Grand.
There was a place called Victoria's I think it was called, attached to the Grand where you took someone special, amazing opulence and grandeur; wining, dining and dancing in very a grand style.
Had a wonderful evening there.
As regards Manston Airport, or rather their website, after some emails with their Marketing Manager, they have now put my write up Dover's historic sites and attractions on their web-site.
I believe this is better than some other historic sites/attractions information, as you have to search in so many places to find it, whereas in mine, all the historic sites and attractions in Dover Deal and Sandwich, are in the one place.
Some Hotels and guest Houses that have it, tell me it is the most visited part of their web-site, so that must be saying something about it.
I still maintain that tourism sites and business (good quality shops, cafe's, restaurants and pubs) must be together - in the same publication, but apart from the Discover Dover leaflet, they are always separate; in fact the businesses don't get any marketing at all, other than their own advertising.

manston announced yesterday a review of staffing.
thiss doe not necessarily mean redundancies, just altering working hours to fit in better with the business.
